W4CA will be participating in the ARRL Sweepstakes again this year, on November 15 and 16.
We will be operating out of Dave's shop on the corner of Centre Ave and 16th Street.
We will have a potluck dinner on Saturday, with leftovers on Sunday. John K4JKA will be manning be grill with the club supplying the hamburgers and hotdogs. This is a fun event every year, full of great company and good food, not to mention playing on the radio.
When giving our exchange information it's interresting to note the W4CA callsign originated in 1912, so when giving that part of the exchange, we get a lot of "12? are you sure?" This is a fun contest every year.
